How many members does St.
Gregory's have? We are approximately 1,000 members strong and
growing!
What is the mission of St.
Gregory's? The mission of St. Gregory's is the same as the mission
of the Episcopal Church and our Diocese. That is "to make known to all people
the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, including ALL, excluding
none".
What is the Vision of St.
Gregory's? The vision of St. Gregory's is a church thriving in
God's love in Jesus Christ and faithfully pursuing this mission by:
- Celebrating God's love in worship that
shapes hearts, challenges minds and renews lives.
- Sharing God's love by caring for each
other and all in need with the relentless compassion of Christ.
- Growing in God's love through a commitment
to Christian formation for all ages.
- Spreading God's love with an unconditional
welcome to all God's children.
How
do I become a member of St. Gregory's?
What time are services on
Sundays? There are three services on Sundays. The 8:00 a.m. and
10:00 a.m. services are held in the church. There is also a 6:00 p.m. service
held in the chapel. On the first Sunday of each month, a more casual service
titled "Simple Gifts" and geared toward families with children, is held in the
parish hall concurrent with the 10:00 a.m. service. Is childcare available for
Sunday services? We have childcare available during our 8:00 a.m. and 10:00
a.m. services for our youngest members. Are there weekday services? We offer
Morning Prayer weekday mornings at 9:00 a.m. We also offer Holy Eucharist
Monday through Friday at 12:00 noon. Evening Prayer is offered on Wednesday
evenings at 6:30 p.m.
Is there Sunday School for the
children? What about classes for First Holy Communion and Confirmation?
We have a very active ministry of Christian Formation for our children ages
Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. Sunday School begins each Sunday morning
at 9:45 a.m. with all children getting together for "Gathering Time" in the 4th
and 5th grade classroom located on the second floor. We use the curriculum
"Walk with Me" published by Faith Alive Resources. Also, through our Summer
Sunday School program we are blessed to offer Sunday school every Sunday of the
year to our children pre-K through 5th. In addition, we annually offer classes
to prepare children to receive their first Holy Communion. Finally, we offer a
separate Confirmation Class for youth in grades seven and eight. Please contact

Is there a Youth Group for Middle and High
School students? St. Gregory's has an active and flourishing youth
group for youth in grades 6 - 12.
Are there any classes for adults? What
about Bible Study groups? St. Gregory's has numerous offerings for
adults interested in learning more about and growing in their faith. There are
currently two adult and one woman's Bible Study groups that meet on a weekly
basis. One adult group meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. and the other
meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. The woman's group meets on Fridays at 9:00
a.m.
Our adult discipleship group, Disciples of Christ in Community
(DOCC) meets September through May. We also have an Adult Study Group that
meets on Sundays at 11:30 in the 2nd floor conference room. An adult Literature
and Spirituality class meets on Wednesdays at 5:15 p.m. Finally, The Men's
Faith and Spirituality group meets for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesdays.
Are there any
fellowship opportunities offered during the week?
What involvement does St. Gregory's have
in the community? We are deeply involved in outreach to and engagement
with our community. Our signature outreach ministries include:
- Our support of feeding ministries at Holy
Redeemer Church in Lake Worth, Boca Helping Hands and the St. Laurence Center
(for the homeless) in Pompano. To learn more, please call the church office at

- Our role as a host congregation for Family
Promise of South Beach County, an interfaith ministry to homeless families in

- Our participation in "Blessings in a
Backpack", a ministry that provides food for the weekend for school children in
our area who qualify for subsidized lunches. To learn more, please

- Our companion relationship with St. Marie
Madeleine in Bondeau, Haiti. We support a school and a feeding program for over
200 children. We are also engaged in several of their community development
