Lay Eucharistic Visitors

A ministry at St. Gregory's that brings love, care, and consolation to those who because of sickness cannot come to church, is the Lay Eucharistic Visitor ministry. Lay Eucharistic Visitors take Holy Communion to people who cannot get out to church. It is a wonderful ministry of "presence" that is a blessing to the person who is visited, and more so, to the Lay Eucharistic Visitor. Our Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEV) ministry serves about 30 homebound parishioners every month.

Courses are offered two times a year for those who would like to become LEVs. Many of us feel that we would like to extend ourselves in some way for the benefit of others. If you think that you might be called to a ministry of visiting and bringing the Body of Christ in Holy Communion to homebound people, please call the parish office or Deacon Anita at 561-392-3417. The time commitment is only a couple of hours a month and the rewards are great. You will make a huge difference in the life of someone.
