Memoirs Writing Class

An 8-week memoirs writing class is offered twice a year at St. Gregory's Church. The 2½ hour class meets during the week with other times scheduled as requested. Participants do not have to be experienced writers. During the 8 weeks, class members develop an outline of topics, as well as write and share four or five lifestories while brainstorming with other memoir writers.

The class is an arena of support for accomplishing an enjoyable, creative task for one's heirs which otherwise might not happen. Many participants continue attending further sessions after completing the initial course. The project can be as extensive and ongoing as the participant desires. A minimal fee covers the cost of textbook, binder and instruction. Sample memoir projects are available for perusal. Additional assistance with proofreading, editing, and computer skills is available upon request.
