St. Laurence
Chapel St. Laurence Chapel, located in Pompano Beach, is an Episcopal mission for the homeless where people can take a shower and have an address (which is necessary for a job search). Through St. Gregory's monthly "Brown Bag" collection of groceries, we contribute non-perishable food to St. Laurence Chapel that is distributed to the homeless people. We collect new socks and underwear, personal hygiene products periodically. Deacon Anita Thorstad celebrates a Deacon's Mass on the first Sunday of the month. Volunteers prepare and serve a delicious "Sunday dinner" and pack a "to go" bag for about 40 people. New volunteers are always welcome.
