2008 Easter Egg Hunt and Butterfly Release

Cloudy skies and a slight drizzle precipitated a slight change in plans for the 2008 Easter Egg Hunt and Butterfly Release. Hunting for eggs happened in fast-motion as the weather grew wetter.

Sandy Laman and Vicki Klemke make an executive decision to move up the agenda, while Debbie brings boxes of paper-wrapped butterflies to the patio door.

Butterflies came to life like magic, unfolding from their beds of folded paper!

Butterflies are free, and they quickly find shelter on clothes, on backpacks and in the shrubbery.

Before and after the soggy outdoor excursions, there were crafts to assemble and a feast to eat. In spite of the weather, a good time was had by all!
