Easter Eve and
Easter Day 2008
The Easter flowers were amazing in their
white elegance and dazzling colors.
As the church lights were dimmed, the
Paschal Candle was lit for the heavenly procession into the Easter Eve
service.
Three children were baptized in
semi-darkness, just before all the lights were lit and the bells rang out with
resounding Alleluiahs!
Easter morning brought contented crowds
and one very elegant lady acolyte on her way to the service.
The altar party plays "Follow the Verger"
in a stately procession.
Even the youngest of children found the
Easter services colorful, musical and stimulating . . . and maybe a little on
the long side.
