OPEN HEARTS, OPEN DOORS - REDEDICATION SERVICE AND CELEBRATION

April 21 at 6 pm will be a glorious time of renewal and celebration for St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church! As we welcome the city and community on this evening through “Open Hearts, Open Doors,” 70 years of faith, service, and dedication will culminate in this historic service of Choral Evensong as we mark the completion of our Capital Campaign which has made possible the renovation and refurbishment of our entire campus including Harris Hall, the Courtyard, and the Sanctuary.

The service will involve the talents of the Choir of St. Gregory’s, guest musicians including a string orchestra and brass ensemble, and the incomparable soprano and friend of St. Gregory’s, Robyn Marie Lamp who will be singing a special solo. Music will include the majestic anthems “I Was Glad When They Said Unto Me” by Hubert Hastings Parry, “O How Amiable” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and “Behold, the Tabernacle of God” by William Harris along with a setting of the Preces and Responses which I’ve composed. We are going to showcase ourselves to the community of Boca and beyond on this evening in a spectacular, yet holy and reverent way.

Our guest list will include dignitaries from the city and community along with visiting clergy from around the various congregations and churches.

Following the service, we will hold a catered reception which will flow from the Courtyard into Harris Hall and the East Terrace as these renovated spaces will be beautifully decorated with enhanced lighting, beautifully decorated tables, and exquisite floral arrangements.

You might ask, “How can I help?” You most certainly can help by making a special gift donation to help with the cost of this evening which will showcase our church to the wider South Florida community. Everything from musicians, to flowers, to food and wine, to cocktail napkins, and everything in between, costs money and you can help make this evening a great moment in the life of our church by contributing to the Rededication Fund. Your gift, large or small, may be given in memory of a loved one which will honor those who have gone before. I can’t wait to see the church FULL TO CAPACITY! YOU can Make a Difference in the life of St. Gregory’s as we come together to celebrate and give thanks for all God has done for us.
