YOUR GENEROSITY AT WORK
Treasurer's Mid-Year Financial Update
Our results for the first six months of 2026 were okay. The total revenue for the first half was $932k, which is $13k worse than planned. This is due almost entirely to Pledge revenue being $10k under plan.
On the expenditures side, we were $2k over plan year-to-date with expenditures totaling $845k. As expected, our revenues exceeded expenditures for the half by $154k, which was $15k worse than planned. About 40% of our annual pledge revenue is received during the first quarter, while our operating expenses remain relatively consistent throughout the year.
Behind these numbers are the more than one hundred ministries your generosity makes possible. Your faithful pledges sustain inspiring worship, our music ministry, youth and family programs, discipleship and formation opportunities that help us grow in faith, pastoral care that surrounds our parish family with Christ's love, and outreach ministries that serve our neighbors here in Boca Raton and around the world. Every gift helps make these ministries possible and allows St. Gregory's to continue transforming hearts and community through Jesus' love.
We are experiencing our normal fall-off in Pledge and Plate revenue during the summer months. As a result, I would like to ask each parishioner to keep their contributions as current as possible during this season.
Like many churches, we occasionally need to borrow during the summer months to help cover ongoing operating expenses such as payroll and insurance. Keeping contributions current helps reduce that need. We do expect to be on plan for the full year, which has us at a small surplus by year-end.
If you would like more details on our financial results, please see the Vestry Meeting package available for review in Harris Hall.
Thank you to all of our parishioners for your faithful generosity and continued support of St. Gregory's and our shared mission. Your stewardship sustains every facet of our church life and advances God's work through our parish each day. Together, we continue to share God's love, strengthen our parish, serve our neighbors, and make a meaningful difference.
Blessings,
