OUR NEW CONCERT SERIES

This year we have implemented a new concert series which is having a tremendous impact not only on our church but also on our community. Our newly renovated sanctuary is proving to be a great asset as many ensembles and performing artists are eager to perform within its beautiful environment which is not only pleasing to the eye and comforting for the soul, but is now an acoustic marvel in which music has never sounded better! We have many local groups which are now calling St. Gregory’s “home” such as the Boca Symphonia, The Master Chorale of South Florida, Seraphic Fire, and Candlelight Concerts. Our sacred space touches the lives of everyone who comes here to worship and who also comes here to attend these incredible concerts by these fantastic artists.

Coming up on November 16 will be Seraphic Fire’s second concert in our sanctuary this Fall entitled “Bach Motets” and November 23 is the season opener of the Boca Symphonia as they present “Mozart and Tim” which features “yours truly” playing our incredible pipe organ as the Symphonia and I perform Francis Poulenc’s Organ Concerto in g minor. December 13 brings another concert by The Master Chorale of South Florida entitled “Comfort and Joy” which again features our beautiful pipe organ with me as guest artist.

And on December 6, amid all this, will be the most important of all concerts, our very own “New Orleans Jazz Christmas” featuring the one and only jazz legend Wycliffe Gordon! Wycliffe returns with an all-new holiday show with very special guests “La Lucha” which is an up-and-coming jazz trio from Tampa, Florida. This will be a concert not to be missed as it pairs with our fabulous annual fundraiser auction and dinner.

Our concert series is truly making an astounding difference in our community as we have become a “home” to these extremely talented ensembles and artists where they can share their amazing talents and music in a space that is not only acoustically but spiritually satisfying. They are bringing the masses to us in ways we’ve not before experienced who are leaving with immense joy and a song in their hearts.
