RON AND MICHELE KNOWLTON AND JOANNE STANLEY
This month, our congregational family extends our loving farewells and special blessings to Ron and Michele Knowlton and Joanne Stanley, who are relocating to new homes away from South Florida. They have all made a life-giving difference in our life in Christ.
Ron served with distinction for more than a decade as our Parish Administrator. He brought a tireless and careful commitment to every aspect of parish administration. His love for this church family was boundless. His steady and faithful leadership, leavened by his wisdom, was a gift to the congregation and to me. Michele has served as a leader in our Altar Guild ministry for more than 20 years. The fruit of her commitment is in the beauty of our sanctuary—candles polished, linens cleaned and ironed, pews polished, vestments carefully arranged. So much of the ministry of the Altar Guild is unseen. They are the holy house elves whose work is essential but invisible. But the truth is we have all been blessed by this holy work. Thank you, Ron and Michele. You have made a lasting impact on our common life!
Joanne Stanley has served in multiple ministry leadership roles over the past twenty years. She served as Senior Warden during COVID and our capital campaign, helping to steer
St. Gregory's through this challenging time as a gifted servant leader. She has participated in nearly twenty years of new member classes and served as a connector between new members and the ministries of the church. She is a dedicated verger who began serving on the altar as an acolyte and Eucharistic Minister. I could continue, but the truth is, there is barely a ministry at St. Gregory's that Joanne hasn't supported as an always willing servant.
These two families have been a blessing to our congregation. We thank them for making a difference. Well done, good and faithful servants!
In Christ,
Andrew+
