THE ADVENT ANGEL TREE
Each year during the Advent season, the Advent Angel Tree stands beautifully in the narthex, welcoming all who enter. Adorning the tree are angels with suggested Christmas gifts to our outreach ministries such as our partnerships with Bon Samaritain Church in Bondeau, Haiti, our partnership with Andranovory Church in Madagascar, and our Meals with Meaning ministry. These special Christmas gifts make a blessed difference in the lives of our neighbors here in Boca and beyond. Thank you for your generosity in making these special gifts.
But I wanted to particularly thank the creator of the actual angels—Sandy McGrath and her creative assistant, her mother, Elsie Padilla. Using the colorful covers from last year's Christmas bulletins, Sandy creates exquisitely beautiful angels. For some angels, instead of the bulletin covers, she uses pages from used hymnals that would otherwise be discarded. The loving details, which include the angels holding books featuring the image of Jesus from our signature stained-glass window, are impressive and inspiring. In fact, the angels are so lovely that I am concerned people will not want to take them off the tree! But, please take the angel, each of which has a suggested amount and ministry to support. Send the gift back via check or through our online giving available on the St. Gregory's App or through the giving link located on our website. And then keep the angel as a gift to you from St. Gregory's to adorn your Christmas tree. Thank you, Sandy and Elsie, for your creativity and care and for making a difference at St. Gregory's!
Blessings in Christ,
Andrew+
