FATHER EMILIO ROSOLEN
This Sunday Fr. Emilio Rosolen celebrates the fortieth anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.
Fr. Emilio has been part of the life of St. Gregory's for over a decade. When he first began praying about being received into the Episcopal Church after faithfully serving in the Roman Catholic Church for nearly thirty years, he start quietly worshipping with us on Sundays. Shortly after that, he began the process of discernment that resulted in Bishop Frade welcoming him into the diocese as a priest.
Since joining our diocese, Fr. Emilio has served at St. Ambrose Church and the Chapel of St. Andrew and as the Executive Director of the Duncan Center. But his spiritual home has remained at St. Gregory's. As one of our Clergy Associates, Fr. Emilio generously serves regularly on Sundays at our altar. During the week he often presides at our noonday Eucharists.
He is a leader in our healing ministry and his "Take it to Sacred" ministry supports those going through cancer and other serious health journeys. He leads a monthly Healing Mass and provides pastoral care and support to many of our members. His active sermons, full of memorable stories, never fail to encourage and inspire. Accompanying Fr. Emilio in many of his pastoral visits is his brother Michael, who is such a valued member of our church family as well. As we rejoice with Fr. Emilio on this Sunday and give thanks to God for his priesthood, I offer special thanks and heartfelt appreciation for making such a difference among us in our Life in Christ at St. Gregory's.
In Christ,
Fr. Andrew+
