EYE GLASSES FOR
MEALS WITH MEANING GUESTS
At Meals with Meaning, we are proud to serve our community with the help of many partners. On any given Sunday you will see one of our valued partners serving alongside us. From iHelp, the medical group, to Yoga instructors and mindfulness breathing coaches, together, we live out our slogan of "Feeding the Mind, Body, and Spirit".
We are happy to announce our latest addition to this community partner list, Glasses for the Homeless. Earlier this month during our Sunday meal program, we set up a mini eye exam station that included a variety of eyeglasses of all prescriptions. As most of our Meals with Meaning guests do not have vision insurance, this was very well received by our beloved guests. For anyone that has less than 20/20 vision, you know the importance of corrective lenses. This is imperative to navigating safely and efficiently throughout the day.
Once a month, on our very own East Terrace near the butterfly garden, we will now be offering free basic vision exams that result in same day takeaway glasses. Thanks to Glasses for the Homeless for being part of caring for the most vulnerable in our community. If you or someone you know needs glasses, please note our next month's event is on Sunday, February 8 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.

Gratefully,
Gena
