RISE AND SHINE
Last Sunday, we had our final Rise and Shine worship service before our normal summer break. This worship takes place on the first Sunday of every month in Harris Hall and is especially designed to encourage the faith of our children and families. At this service, children read the lessons, lead the prayers of the people, and serve as greeters. This Sunday, one of our children volunteered to serve as a junior altar guild member and, in a blessed coincidence of divine serendipity, was clothed in a dress that exactly matched the dress of one of our adult altar guild members! The music is lively and includes movements of arms and hands, which Rev. Robyn introduced during her time of leadership. A special craft is always included to encourage creative engagement with the theme of the scripture readings and the liturgical season. All this holy ministry happens because there is a dedicated team of adults, including Hannelene Beillard, Silvia Hall, Victoria Hanna, Kim Ouellette, and Emily Gonzalez, who serve as our "Rise and Shine" ministry support team. I also want to give a shout-out to Fr. Craig Burlington, our Clergy Associate Emeritus, who volunteers to assist with communion and be a beloved priestly presence with our children and families. This past Sunday, Fr. Ben Anthony provided the liturgical leadership, and Anita Sherman led the children's sermon. This dedicated group of ministry leaders is truly making a difference in the lives of our children and families. Thank you!
In Christ,

A SPECIAL RISE AND SHINE SURPRISE!
A sweet moment at Rise and Shine this Sunday! Our junior altar guild helper, Isabella Sophia Beillard, was all smiles as she assisted with preparations alongside her twin, Pauline Goosby. In a wonderful surprise, they discovered that Pauline’s granddaughter shares the beautifully mirrored name Sophia Isabella and is about the same age as Isabella! A joyful reminder of the meaningful connections and small blessings that so often bring our St. Gregory’s family together.
