TEENS KINDNESS AND INTELLECT HELPING TO FEED OUR COMMUNITY

“Pizza for a Purpose” was co-founded by teen siblings Anish and Aashrita in 2024. It began with Anish’s simple yet powerful idea: combining his love for pizza, his interest in technology, and his passion for giving. This vision led to the creation of Pizza for a Purpose, an app that enables restaurants to donate pizza to charities like Meals with Meaning. 

I met Anish, Aashrita, and their mother at Meals with Meaning’s Sunday community meal. They loved what we were doing, and we were blown away by what they were doing. By the end of our first encounter, it was hard to say who was more excited about our connection!

Though this partnership just began a couple of weeks ago, Meals with Meaning has already received 80 pizza pies through this amazing app!! What a joy it is for the volunteers to offer delicious pizza to our guests. By donating pizza, local restaurants are saying, in a big way, that, yes, they are beloved. 

Anish’s app is under the foundation that he and his sister co-founded, Dhanam Foundation. In Sanskrit, “Dhanam” embodies the spirit of compassion and generosity. And it is with this Spirit that together, we are caring for this great community and Making a Difference.
