THE NEW MEMBERS CLASS

This Sunday, we celebrate a bi-annual ritual at St. Gregory's:  the official welcome into our St. Gregory's family of the graduates of our new member class and the presentation of the name badges!

These new members represent such a gift to our beloved church family. I am grateful that the Holy Spirit led them to us. It has been a joyous privilege to spend time with them and to get to know them. Normally, we invite the class to host the coffee hour on what I informally think of as "Graduation Sunday." However, because we have a special Coffee Hour presentation on end-of-life planning this Sunday, the class will be hosting Coffee Hour on the following Sunday, Palm Sunday. I encourage everyone to welcome them warmly into our church family.

When I ponder how this class makes a difference, I know that our exploration of life in Christ at St. Gregory's is meaningful and helpful to class members as they settle into their new church home. But teaching the class makes a difference to me as well. I find myself re-energized by our conversations about the Anglican/Episcopal way of following Jesus as Lord and the profound goodness of life together at St. Gregory's. I call it a holy "win-win," which is just how God works. Thanks be to God!

Blessings in Christ,

Andrew+
